Electronic Prescribing Service (EPS)

Electronic Prescribing Service (EPS) enables prescribers - such as GPs and practice nurses - to send prescriptions electronically to a dispenser (such as a pharmacy) of the patient's choice. This makes the prescribing and dispensing process more efficient and convenient for patients and staff.

Please speak to your preferred pharmacy about setting up a nominated pharmacy if you wish to take up this service.

If you don't want your prescription to be sent electronically just tell your GP.

If you want to change or cancel your nomination speak to any pharmacist or dispensing appliance contractor that offers EPS - Tell them before your next prescription is due or your prescription may be sent to the wrong place.

Electronic Repeat Dispensing Prescriptions

Our practice is collaborating with NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) which is providing NHS numbers for those patients that may be suitable for electronic repeat dispensing prescriptions. The information is obtained from NHS prescriptions submitted to the NHSBSA. A member of our clinical team will contact these patients soon to explain the benefits of this service.
