Urgent Appointment
To request an urgent appointment for today (Monday to Friday):
- please telephone the surgery within Opening Hours to arrange an Urgent Appointment.
When you get in touch, we will ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.
We safely help as many patients as we can with urgent same-day needs but high demand can exceed availability some days. When this happens, we may be able to offer you an evening or Saturday appointment locally or signpost you to other appropriate services that can help you quickly.
Home Visits
Patients are requested to telephone your surgery before 10.30 am if a visit is required that day. Emergency visits only will be arranged after that time. Please give the receptionist as much information as possible to enable the doctor to allocate priority to house calls.
A doctor or nurse may phone you back, as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse - or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.
House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the practice.
